How do I register?
Entries for the City are handled on AmateurGolf.com. Head to our how to enter page for the steps, or go straight to registration on AmateurGolf.com.
Do I need to be an AmateurGolf.com member to play?
Yes — a current AmateurGolf.com membership is required to play, but it’s bundled into your entry: non-members join in the same checkout when they register. You can join AmateurGolf.com ahead of time if you prefer, or simply add it as part of your entry.
When does registration open and close?
Registration for the 2027 championship opens November 1, 2026 and closes February 16, 2027, on AmateurGolf.com. No late entries are accepted.
How much is the entry fee?
Fees vary by division and include green fees — from $235 for Open flights to $435 for the Men’s Championship, set and collected on AmateurGolf.com. See Divisions & Fees.

Format & Play

Is the championship stroke play or match play?
Both. Every division uses stroke-play qualifying to seed a single-elimination match-play bracket. The Championship finals are contested over 36 holes.
Where is it played?
At TPC Harding Park and Lincoln Park Golf Course — two historic San Francisco municipals. Qualifying is split across both; match play centers on Harding Park.
Can I take a cart?
Not in the Men's Championship — carts are prohibited for players and caddies. Other divisions follow course policy.
