**Entry procedure for fall 2021: Exempt players, and players who were in the field this spring before the tournament was postponed will have first chance to re-register. They will be emailed an access code to register, and registration for these players will open on July 1. Registration will then open for all other players on August 1 at 8:00am.

Exemption categories:

* The past 10 years of the San Francisco City Golf Champions
* 2020 San Francisco City Men’s Championship Match Play Qualifiers
* Top 20 men’s 2019-2020 NCGA Points Lists
* 2020 NCGA Champions (Amateur, Mid-Amateur, Junior)
* 2020 USGA Event Qualifiers (Amateur, Mid-Amateur, Junior)

On August 1, 2020 at 8:00 am, registration will open to all players with a handicap index of 6.4 or lower as of the date of entry, and will remain open until the field limit (120 players) is reached. When the field limit is reached, all additional entrants will pre-qualify at Lincoln Park on Friday, October 29, 2021.

Players entering pre-qualifying will pay an entry fee of $150 for the pre-qualifier, and those advancing from the pre-qualifier will pay an additional $150.

The 36-hole match play qualifier will be held October 30 and 31, 2021, with 18 holes played at TPC Harding Park and 18 holes at Lincoln Park Golf Course for a combined 36-hole qualifying score.

There will be 156 players in the qualifying round with 64 players advancing to match play. When all qualifying has been completed, the Men’s Championship Flight will consist of 64 contestants. In the event of a playoff to qualify for match play, a player must be present in order to retain his right to participate in the playoff.

Match play will begin on November 6, 2021. All match play for the Championship Flight will be held at TPC Harding Park.

OPEN FLIGHTS

Open to the first 210 entries received. No index is required. There will be no refunds after entries close. Contestants will play an 18-hole qualifying round at Lincoln Park Golf Course. The low 192 scores following qualifying will be used to assign flights of 16 players each, as well as the seeding for match play. In case of ties, there will be a card-off to determine who advances to play in each flight. Qualifying, as well as the first two Open Match Flight rounds, will be played at Lincoln Park Golf Course. The semifinal and final rounds will be played at TPC Harding Park Golf Course.

No requests will be taken for a preferred playing day (Sat or Sun) of either the qualifier or first-round matches.

WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP & INKSTER FLIGHTS

Open to the first 60 entries received. No handicap index required. Qualifying consists of one 18-hole stroke play round after which the contestants with the lowest 16 scores will be seeded accordingly in the Women's Championship Flight. Contestants with the 17th through 32nd lowest scores will be seeded according in the Juli Inkster Flight.

Individual scores will determine seeding for match play. There will be no refunds after entries close. All rounds will be played at TPC Harding Park Golf Course.

In the event of a playoff to qualify for match play, a player must be present in order to retain his right to participate in the playoff.

SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP

SENIOR MEN'S DIVISION
$225 ENTRY FEE INCLUDES ALL GREEN FEES.

Open to the first 110 entries received. Participants must have an index of 9.4 or lower as of the date of entry and must be 55 or older as of the first day of the tournament. Qualifying will consist of one 18-hole stroke play round after which the Senior Men's Championship Flight will consist of 32 match play contestants.

In case of ties, a card-off (see SF City Golf Championship Playoff Procedures) will determine the players who will advance to match play. Players’ scores will determine seeding for match play. There will be no refunds after entries close. All rounds will be played at TPC Harding Park Golf Course.

SUPER-SENIOR

SUPER-SENIOR MEN'S DIVISION

Open to the first 50 entries received. Participants must have an index of 9.4 or lower as of the date of entry and must have an age of 65 or older as of the first day of the tournament. Qualifying will consist of one 18-hole stroke play round after which the Men's Super-Senior Championship Flight will consist of 16 contestants.

In case of ties, there will be a card off to determine the players who will advance to match play. Individual scores will determine seeding for match play. There will be no refunds after entries close. All rounds will be played at TPC Harding Park Golf Course.

WOMEN'S SENIOR

Participants must be 50 or older as of the first day of the tournament. Participants must have a handicap index of 18.4 or Lower as of the date of entry. Qualifying will consist of one 18-hole stroke play round after which the senior women’s Championship Flight will consist of 16 contestants, who will be placed in a single match play bracket. There will be no refunds after entries close. All rounds will be played at TPC Harding Park Golf Course.

*Please Note: We need to have a minimum of 16 participants. The committee reserves the right to cancel this division if we can’t meet the minimum number of entries and we will make the appropriate refunds.
